Welcome to GSA 101 brought to you by Elevate GSA: where we turn GOVSPEAK into a language YOU speak. My name is Hannah Struss and I have Collin Hartsell here with me and we are going to be talking about GSA’s Fast Lane Program.
GSA’s FASt Lane can be a great tool for eligible contractors looking to fast track their proposal or modification requests inside of eOffer and eMod. However there are some things to consider about the program before you jump in!
FASt Lane is available for Information Technology vendors who are seeking a new proposal or modifying a current contract to meet the needs of a federal agency. If you qualify, a modification request can be reviewed in as little as 48 hours, and a brand new proposal in as little as 45 days.
This is a huge advantage if you have a federal agency who wishes to purchase your products or services by a particular deadline. The typical wait times for a brand new proposal ranges anywhere from 3-9 months, and a modification can take anywhere from 1-3 months to process. This program allows you to skip to the front of the line!
In order to be eligible to participate in FASt Lane a company must:
- Be a Multiple Award Schedule offeror or existing schedule holder assigned under the Information Technology Category.
- Only the Information Technology category is permitted to utilize this program.
-
- For a new Proposal: Only IT Special Item Numbers can be submitted in eOffer/eMod. No other MAS categories are permitted.
-
- Note: ANCILLARY SIN from the Miscellaneous Category may be included on your offer and still be eligible for FASt Lane.
- Be associated with a FASt Lane-eligible initiative such as one of the following:
- 2nd Generation Information Technology IT BPAs awardees (use FASt Lane tab in FSS Online)
-
- Defense Health Agency Enterprise IT Services
-
- SCRIPTS BPA - Supply Chain Risk Illumination Professional Tools
-
- Other IT initiatives that arise (such as contract modification initiatives)
- You may also have a written request from a federal agency ordering activity that states vendors should participate in FASt Lane to support the agency’s IT requirements. Vendors must include this written request in the eOffer submission package)
